Marimba co-founder Kim Polese has been named chairman and chief strategy officer of the Mountain View, Calif., Internet infrastructure management software company. John Olsen has been chosen to succeed her as president and chief executive officer. Polese, 38, co-founded Marimba (stock: MRBA) in 1996, took the company public 15 months ago, and has ushered it to profitability. Olsen is a veteran software and services executive with experience most recently as president of the Design Realization Group of Cadence Design Systems (stock: CDN).
